Today marks 6 months since the operation to remove the acoustic neuroma. It amazes me to think how quickly this time has gone and how far I have come in such a short time.Of course the biggest improvement is the changes that have occurred in my face and although I think they have come to a grinding halt, I would still be happy if this was to be the way I would stay. I am back at work full time. Sometimes I am unsure if this is an achievement or a mistake because fatigue still continues to plague me.I guess this is the perfectionist coming out in me, I hate that I am not able to give everything my all, 100% of the time.
I attended a 6 month post op review yesterday and am pleased to report that, despite my nerves leading up to the appointment, I was given good results. The MRI showed that the acoustic neuroma (AN) was completely removed and the right AN remains stable. Apparently feeling this tired is normal and I can expect to feel this way for at least another 6 months (lucky me!). The next step is to have an MRI on my spine to rule out anything sinister being the cause of my hip pain.
