What an incredible morning we had at the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens for Sneakys big Walk in the bush. The weather was perfect. I was so afraid with the terrible days that we had previously that we were going to be in for a wet one and I had no back up plan. Luckily God was on my side and I couldn't have asked for a better day.
Approximately 30 people came along to support sneaky and I in our big event and walk along the four and a bit km track in the quiet bush surroundings of my happy place. A perfect backdrop for a cause that I am so passionate about.
A big thank you to those that came along and helped make the day so special. Thanks to Gerri from Next Step to Fitness and Lucy for all your help in organizing the event (including the voucher that was donated from Coles Eden Rise for the purchase of the sausages and the bread that was donated from Beaconsfield Village Bakehouse). To everyone that donated items towards the raffle hampers, silent auctions and lucky square prises I am truly grateful (especially Jamie from Village Street Cranbourne and Cam and Chris from Bodyworks Fitness Cranbourne). To Brad and Suzette for doing such a wonderful job cooking the BBQ whilst we were walking the gardens. And last but not least thank you to all that contributed by buying raffle tickets, lucky squares, silent auctions etc your generousity has helped me to raise approx $1200 for the Children's Tumour Foundation of Australia. This has gone well and beyond what I imagined the day would generate.
I am truly blessed to have such wonderful supportive people in my life and am so proud of everyone for rallying behind such a wonderful cause.
